World Press Institute Fellowship Program 2025 for Journalists

The World Press Institute Fellowship Program selects professional journalists from around the world for an immersive fellowship in the United States. Fellows engage with media outlets, think tanks and advocacy organizations to observe and learn about free press principles and journalistic practices in a democratic context. The program includes travel within the United States and lodging, with a modest daily allowance for meals.

Transportation, lodging, and meals are provided; fellows gain exposure to U.S. journalism practices and opportunities to interview subject matter experts.

Applicants must have at least five years of full-time employment in print, broadcast or online journalism and be currently employed as a non-U.S. journalist working outside the United States; fluency in English is required.
