PhD Position in Empirical Legal Research on the Rule of Law & Judicial Politics

The Erasmus School of Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam is offering a four-year PhD position in empirical legal research focusing on the rule of law and judicial politics. The project addresses issues such as judicial independence and public trust in courts within democratic societies. The position is open to candidates with a master’s degree in Law, Law & Economics, Political Science, or related disciplines, and requires interest in empirical research methods.

Gross monthly salary, paid leave, holiday allowance, end-of-year bonus, structured supervision, development funding and career support, pension and family-friendly policies.
