The AfDB/Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU) Scholarship Programme 2026 offers scholarships to African candidates for master's and doctoral studies in fields related to marine science, fisheries, and the blue economy. The scholarships cover full tuition, accommodation, meals, and monthly stipends, with access to distinguished faculty and research facilities; flight tickets and visa fees are the responsibility of the successful candidates.

Master’s Program: be a national of AfDB’s Regional Member Country with interest in fisheries or blue economy; hold a bachelor’s degree with interest in related field; English proficiency (IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80); under 35; strong academic record. Ph.D. Program: be a national of AfDB’s Regional Member Countries with experience in fisheries or blue economy; hold a Master’s degree in a related field; English proficiency (IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80); research experience with at least one publication; good analytical and teamwork skills.
