Virtual Library Programme 2025

The Nordic Africa Institute (NAI) invites early career African researchers to apply for the Virtual Library Programme 2025. The programme provides 12 months of free digital access to a curated Africa-focused e-resource collection, enabling remote engagement with specialized materials in the social sciences and humanities. It is designed to support researchers working on Africa-focused topics without requiring travel, and the resources are accessed from the participant's home institution.

12 months of unrestricted access to the Nordic Africa Institute's digital library, including Africa-focused e-resources and curated collections.

PhD students or postdoctoral researchers based at African universities or research centres, collaborating with a Nordic researcher.

Apply online with the required documents: description of the research project and letters of support from Nordic collaborators and a senior scholar or department head.
