Asia Bridge Program (ABP) Scholarship at Shizuoka University

Shizuoka University offers the Asia Bridge Program (ABP) scholarship for high school graduates from Indonesia, India, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam to pursue a Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Japan. The program includes an intensive first year with Japanese language and foundational subjects, followed by four years of study in liberal arts and faculty-specific courses. Tuition is waived in the first year, with partial to full tuition discounts in subsequent years based on annual academic performance.

Tuition waivers/discounts, access to university programs and courses, Japanese language study in the first year, and progression to a four-year bachelor’s degree.

Applicants must be non-Japanese citizens from Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar or India, and must be able to obtain a student visa. They must meet at least one of several stated educational qualifications to be eligible for admission.
