HEY programme on Media and Information Literacy

The HEY programme is a free online course for young people to develop media literacy and understand its impact on human rights and democracy. It covers legal frameworks, online safety, critical thinking, media manipulation, digital platforms and emerging digital challenges. The course is offered in English and French and is run by the Council of Europe’s North-South Centre.

Young people between 18 to 30 years old from Council of Europe member states, with priority given to NSC member states, engaged in civil society and with an interest in media and information.
