Chengdu Sister City Scholarship 2027

The Chengdu Sister City Scholarship is a funded programme offered by the Chengdu Municipal People’s Government and hosted at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) for international students connected to Chengdu’s sister or cooperative partner cities. It covers undergraduate and graduate study in Chengdu, with graduate recipients receiving a more comprehensive package including tuition, campus housing, medical insurance, and a living allowance. The scholarship aims to deepen educational and cultural ties between Chengdu and its international partner cities.

Tuition coverage, on-campus housing, medical insurance in China, and a living allowance for graduate students; undergraduate students receive tuition and accommodation and medical insurance.

Applicants must come from one of Chengdu’s officially recognized sister or friendly cooperative cities and provide proof of that connection through local government documentation.

Applicants submit materials through UESTC's online admission system; after preliminary screening, shortlisted students complete additional verification with the School of International Education before final approval by the Chengdu Municipal People’s Government.
