PROMOS International Scholarships

The PROMOS International Scholarships provide partial funding to German university students for short-term international study, research, internships, or thesis work. The program is funded by DAAD and administered by German universities through their International Offices. It supports mobility outside the Erasmus+ framework and is designed to enhance international academic exposure for both undergraduate and graduate students.

Partial financial support for short-term international activities; possible additional support for students with disabilities or chronic health conditions; universities may provide top-up mobility grants.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at a German university; doctoral candidates may be eligible depending on institutional policies.

Applications are coordinated through the student’s German university International Office.
