National Industry Scholarship 2026

The National Industry Scholarship at Murdoch University is a fully funded PhD-level research scholarship designed for international applicants to join the 2026–2027 academic cohort. The programme supports research at the intersection of agricultural science, genetics, and digital technologies, with industry collaboration and supervision at Murdoch University. Only three scholarships are available, making it a highly selective opportunity for the 2026 intake.

Open to international applicants who meet Murdoch University’s PhD admission standards and demonstrate strong academic preparation. Eligible candidates should hold a Master’s degree, First Class Honours, or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, with background in crop genetics, genomics, biochemistry, agricultural sciences, or related fields; experience in AI, machine learning, or modelling applied to agricultural systems is encouraged.

Submit an Expression of Interest directly to the supervisors with a two-page research statement, CV, and transcripts; shortlisted candidates are interviewed; the preferred candidate must formally apply for PhD admission at Murdoch University
