TWAS-SN Bose Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme 2025/2026

The TWAS-SN Bose Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme invites foreign scholars from developing countries to pursue postdoctoral research in the physical sciences at the S.N. Bose National Centre for Basic Science in Kolkata, India. The fellowship is tenable for a minimum of six months to a maximum of twelve months. The programme provides a monthly stipend and on-campus accommodation, with certain health insurance arrangements and eligibility requirements.

Be a foreign scholar from a developing country (excluding India), hold a PhD in physics, mathematics, physical chemistry or life sciences, be regularly employed in a developing country, and be within 45 years of age on 31 December of the application year.

Submit an online application via the TWAS portal, including an Acceptance Letter from a department of the S.N. Bose National Centre; only one TWAS programme per calendar year is allowed.
