The Summer Public Health Scholars Program is a Columbia University undergraduate summer program that increases interest in and knowledge of public health and biomedical science careers. It includes public health coursework at Columbia, hands-on field experience, seminars with public health leaders, and faculty mentoring. The program is a partnership among Columbia's Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, College of Dental Medicine, School of Nursing, and the Mailman School of Public Health, and was awarded by the CDC Office of Minority Health under the CDC John R. Lewis Undergraduate Public Health Scholars Program.
