Canon Foundation Research Fellowships 2026

The Canon Foundation Research Fellowships are funded research fellowships for international researchers to conduct projects in Europe or Japan for a period of three months to one year. Eligible fellows are international researchers with no disciplinary restrictions and no requirement to be formally enrolled or employed. Fellows receive a stipend up to €30,000 for a 12-month stay, with accommodation and host-institution arrangements handled between the fellow and the host.

Open to international applicants who have completed at least a master’s or PhD within the last decade; no disciplinary restrictions and no requirement to be enrolled or employed when applying.
