PowerUP Business Plan Competition 2025

PowerUP Business Plan Competition 2025 offers cash prizes to help Brooklyn entrepreneurs start or grow a business in Brooklyn. Participants attend Zoom webinar classes on creating business plans, marketing, financial projections, and doing business research; the classes are mandatory and the competition is administered online. Winners receive cash awards and there are additional prize opportunities during the awards ceremony.

Cash prizes awarded to winners: $20,000 (first), $10,000 (second), $5,000 (third), and $1,000 for five merit winners; an additional $1,000 may be awarded to a merit winner selected by the audience. Winners receive seed capital to start a business in Brooklyn.

Entrants must be 18 years of age or older, live in Brooklyn, and plan to start a business in Brooklyn; orientation and prerequisites must be completed.

Applications are submitted through an online platform; applicants must attend an orientation before applying.
