ESO Science Communication Internship 2027

The ESO Science Communication Internship is a funded placement that focuses on science communication for frontline astronomy projects. The internship is hosted by the European Southern Observatory in Germany and lasts 3 to 6 months, providing a monthly allowance, accommodation, and a return trip from the participant’s home to Germany. It is intended for applicants with experience in written science communication in English, particularly related to astronomy or physical sciences.

Applicants should be fluent in English and have some experience in science communication in English; open to applicants from all countries. Preference given to those currently studying or having recently completed a university degree in science, science communication, or science journalism.
