McDonald Fellowships 2027 (Fully Funded)

The McDonald Fellowship is a fully funded two-year postdoctoral research fellowship for early-career researchers from low- and middle-income countries to work in a research institution outside their home country, with a yearly grant and a return flight to the host country. It supports work focused on multiple sclerosis and aims to build expertise and networks that enable continued MS research and patient care in LMICs after the award.

A two-year fellowship grant of approximately £55,000 GBP per year and one return flight to the host country; eligibility to conduct postdoctoral MS research at a host institution.

Applicants must be postdoctoral researchers working on multiple sclerosis, from low- or middle-income countries, with a master’s, PhD or MD, and must have a host institute identified (in home or neighboring country) where travel is allowed.
