Fully Funded Literary Residency in Hong Kong 2027 for Writers of All Nationalities

The International Writers' Workshop (IWW) at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) offers a fully funded four-week literary residency on campus, bringing together writers from around the world. The program provides dedicated writing time and cultural activities, culminating in the IWW Literary Festival 2027 themed “Inheritance.” Participants gain an international environment for creative exchange and cross-cultural collaboration. The residency includes opportunities to engage with scholars and students and to connect with writers from over 60 countries.

Round-trip flight, on-campus accommodation, daily living allowance, free participation in the residency and literary events, access to activities and events, networking with writers from 60+ countries, dedicated writing time.

Applicants must be 18–60 years old, reside outside Hong Kong at the time of application, have published at least one literary book, and be available to attend the full residency.
