The Imperial Hackathon Hong Kong and Macau is a team-based competition for high school students to develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges and present them to judges from Imperial College London and industry. Teams work on a chosen challenge and submit a short proposal and video; shortlisted teams are invited to a grand final to pitch in person. Prizes include Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, specialist awards, and the overall champions receive a trophy, an invitation and financial support to compete at the Global Natural Science and Innovation Competition Finals in London. The grand final will take place on 2026-11-14 at the Data Technology Hub, Tseung Kwan O InnoPark, HKSTP.

Leistungen

Opportunity to pitch to Imperial and industry judges; Gold, Silver and Bronze awards; specialist awards; Imperial Hackathon Trophy for overall champions; invitation and financial support for champions to compete at an international finals in London; mentoring and resources for shortlisted teams.

Teilnahmevoraussetzungen

Students in grades 10–12 at the time of the grand final who attend a high school in Hong Kong or Macau and who are comfortable speaking and presenting in English may apply. Teams must consist of 4–5 students from the same school and nominate an adult supervisor.

Bewerbung

Register individually (no team required) by 24 September 2026; form a team of 4–5 students and nominate an adult supervisor; submit a 150-word proposal and a 3–5 minute video pitch for round one.
