Reto Banxico 2026

Reto Banxico is a national competition for undergraduate students in Mexico that promotes understanding of the Bank of Mexico's role in monetary policy and financial stability. Teams of 3 to 5 students from the same higher-education institution prepare a research work following an official template and submit it through the Bank's capture system. Selected teams progress through semifinal and final stages, with finalists presenting their monetary policy stance at the Banco de México facilities. Anonymity of submissions is required and failure to comply leads to disqualification.

Undergraduate (licenciatura) students enrolled in public or private institutions in the United Mexican States. Teams must consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 students from the same institution; teams may be advised by a professor or a graduate student. A team leader must register all members.

Team leader registers each member via the Banxico Educa site and uploads the research work and required annexes through the system of capture; the capture system is the only accepted submission channel.
