Astronomy Summer Camp for Middle School Students

The Astronomy Summer Camp for Middle School Students is a week-long immersive camp combining hands-on labs, projects and observational astronomy for middle schoolers. Participants build instruments (e.g., refracting telescopes and spectroscopes), run experiments (rocket launches, diffraction, Doppler effect) and take a mid-program excursion to a local science venue. Residential, day, extended-day and (when offered) online formats are available, with campus housing and meals provided for overnight and extended-day attendees.

Daily hands-on labs and projects, observational astronomy and telescope-building, mid-program excursion to a local science venue, campus housing and three meals per day for overnight campers (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and lunch/dinner included for extended-day campers.

Middle school students (grades 6–8).
