Akademien

The Akademien are a recurring programme line of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes offering one- to two-week thematic academies during semester breaks. They bring together groups of typically 15–20 scholarship holders and lecturers to work intensively on academic, cultural or practice-oriented topics and include additional evening programmes and free-time activities. Formats include classic thematic academies, practice academies, excursion academies, a music academy and a culture academy, among others. Events take place at selected locations (mountains, seaside or urban settings) and are staged for different study-age cohorts.

Intensive thematic workshops, supervision by university lecturers and experts, networking with peers, evening programmes and cultural/excursion activities.

Participation is for Stipendiatinnen and Stipendiaten of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes; academies are staged according to study age of participants.
