ILA Leadership Development Training 2025

The ILA Leadership Development Training 2025 is a cohort-based programme designed to develop emerging leaders from IGAD Member States in governance, leadership, and related fields. It offers training on good governance, peacebuilding, technology, gender-responsive leadership, and networking with mentors and policymakers. The training is organized with support from the Government of Japan and aims to build a regional network of future leaders and change-makers.

Participants gain leadership skills rooted in African leadership philosophies and global best practices, learn from experts and mentors, develop competencies in governance and peacebuilding, join a regional alumni network, and engage in peer-learning opportunities.

Open to Women and Youth from IGAD Member States who are 18-35 years old, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, proficient in English, and committed to leadership and regional development.
