Infrastructure Priority Programme SPP 1158 – Antarctic Research with Comparative Investigations in Arctic Ice Areas

The Infrastructure Priority Programme SPP 1158 funds research projects on Antarctic research with comparative investigations in Arctic ice areas, focusing on climate-system dynamics, responses to environmental change, connectivity and exchange in polar systems, and improved understanding of polar processes. It gives German researchers access to Antarctic infrastructure provided by partner institutions and supports participation in international polar research.
