The Sino-German Short-Term Workshops for Students and Early-Career Researchers 2026 is a funding programme to support short (up to 14 days) Sino-German workshops for undergraduate students, doctoral candidates and early-career researchers. Workshops should address topics within the disciplinary spectrum covered by the NSFC, including mathematical sciences, natural sciences, medical and life sciences, engineering and earth sciences. Funding covers travel (domestic and international) for participants and lecturers, accommodation, meals, venue fees and related costs. Approved workshops must be held by 31 December 2027.

Teilnahmevoraussetzungen
German applicants must hold a doctoral degree and be eligible to submit project proposals to the DFG. Chinese applicants must be PIs of NSFC-funded projects of three years or longer, or participants involved in or previously involved in such NSFC projects who hold a doctoral degree or senior professional technical title or who are recommended by two senior scientists and approved by the PI.

Proposals must be prepared in English using the Proposal Form and submitted by email with required attachments (including signed informed consent and scanned PDF with host institution seal) to Workshop2026@sinogermanscience.org.cn; include “2026 Sino-German Workshop Application (Applicant’s Name)” in the subject line. Total electronic materials must not exceed 15 MB.
