Call for Proposals: Großgeräteinitiative 2027

The Großgeräteinitiative 2027 is a DFG programme to fund thematic initiatives that make cutting-edge large-scale instruments and facilities accessible for research. The initiative supports the procurement of major research equipment and additional specific resources necessary for the programme. Selected initiatives are competitively chosen following scientific review of submitted concept proposals. Proposals can address technologies from any scientific discipline and target use across one or more research fields.

Comprehensive funding for device procurement and further specific programme funds including a programme flat-rate if the initiative is selected.

Researchers (Wissenschaftler*innen) from all areas of science may submit proposals; concepts may be written in German or English. A lead responsible person must submit the concept.

Submit a PDF concept (max. 10 pages) following DFG form 21.71 in German or English by email with subject 'Konzept Großgeräteinitiative 2027: Title of the proposal' to wgi@dfg.de; supporting letters may be provided in a second PDF.
