Leonardo da Vinci Student Inventors and Researchers Competition

The Leonardo da Vinci Student Inventors and Researchers Competition is a national contest for school students organized by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation. It aims to stimulate learning, encourage interest in innovation and technology, and develop creative and practical skills among pupils. Projects may be submitted individually or in teams and are evaluated by a competition commission which awards a grand prix, first, second and third places and special prizes. Monetary prizes and a foreign educational tour are among the awards for top projects.

Grand prix: foreign educational tour; 1st place: 5000 GEL; 2nd place: 3000 GEL; 3rd place: 2000 GEL; special prizes may also be awarded.

Participants must be pupils in grades VII–XII of Georgian general education institutions (state or private schools). Projects may be submitted individually or by teams of up to three students; each team must have a supervisor (teacher, parent or scientist).
