Heydar Aliyev International Education Scholarship (2026-2027)

The Heydar Aliyev International Education Scholarship is a government-funded programme of the Republic of Azerbaijan to educate foreign citizens at Azerbaijani higher education institutions for the 2026-2027 academic year. The scholarship selects up to 100 students worldwide annually for language preparatory courses, bachelor's, master's and PhD studies. The scholarship covers tuition for study and language preparatory courses, one international round-trip air ticket per year, monthly living allowance, health insurance, and visa/registration fees. Applicants may choose up to three degree specialities offered by Azerbaijani institutions; final selection is made by the Azerbaijani selection committee.

Tuition and preparatory course fees; one international round-trip ticket per year; monthly living allowance (800 AZN for 10 months); annual health insurance payment (200 AZN); visa and registration fee coverage.

Applicants must be citizens of Mongolia. Age limits as of 2026-09-15: under 35 for bachelor's and general medicine applicants; under 40 for master's and medical residency applicants; under 45 for PhD applicants. Previous education GPA must be at least 70/100. English, Russian, Turkish or Azerbaijani language proficiency requirements apply depending on language of instruction (IELTS/TOEFL scores specified).

Submit application materials via scholarship.esis.edu.mn by 2026-04-15 (first stage). Successful applicants in the first stage must confirm registration on Azerbaijan's centralized admission portal (portal.edu.az / SIACAS) between 2026-05-18 and 2026-06-01.
