Equity Scholarships for Commencing Undergraduate Students (UNSW) 2026

The UNSW Equity Scholarships programme provides financial support to assist commencing students to undertake full-time undergraduate coursework for the minimum duration of their degree. Multiple named equity scholarships are offered, each with specific eligibility criteria and award values. Awards are cohort-based and are made progressively through the UNSW Gateway Admissions Pathway and UAC Equity Scholarship rounds. Some individual scholarships may require an additional separate application.

$5,000–$15,000 per annum scholarship payments for the minimum program duration (specific amounts depend on the named scholarship).

Commencing undergraduate students (and in some cases commencing postgraduate coursework students) who meet the Educational Access Scheme (EAS), Gateway Admissions Pathway or UAC Equity Scholarship eligibility criteria; some scholarships target students from low socioeconomic or disadvantaged educational backgrounds or specific cohorts (e.g. veterans, attendees of named schools).

Applicants apply via UAC (Educational Access Scheme or UAC Equity Scholarship) or enter consideration automatically via the UNSW Gateway Admissions Pathway; some scholarships require additional separate applications or evidence submitted to UNSW as noted.
