IST-ID Scientific Initiation Studentship

IST-ID Scientific Initiation Studentship is a funded research placement at Instituto Superior Técnico in Loures, Portugal. It targets Physics or Engineering Physics graduates who are enrolled in a Master’s or integrated Master’s program and provides hands-on nuclear-analysis training with applications in geology and cultural heritage, along with a monthly allowance for up to 12 months.

Monthly stipend; potential continuation up to 12 months; training in advanced nuclear-analysis methods; opportunities to build laboratory experience for PhD applications.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and be enrolled in a Master’s or integrated Master’s programme, with all taught components completed and the possibility to defend the Master’s thesis during the scholarship period.
