MAECI Scholarships for Foreign Students (2024-2025)

The MAECI Scholarships for Foreign Students (2024-2025) are offered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) to support study and research in Italy. Awards cover multiple categories including Laurea Magistrale (second-cycle/master's) studies, attendance at AFAM institutions (arts, music, dance), PhD programmes, research in co-tutela, and Italian language and culture courses. Duration varies by category, with some scholarships running for several months within the 2024–2025 academic period. Applicants must follow entry requirements set by the host Italian institutions and, for research, submit a research proposal and a letter of acceptance from the hosting Italian university or institute.

Open to foreign applicants (including Greek nationals) for the specified study and research categories; age limits apply by category (examples given: AFAM up to 28, PhD up to 30, research up to 40).

Apply electronically via the Study in Italy portal (StudyinItaly.esteri.it) by submitting the online application before the deadline.
