RESNA Student Scientific Paper Competition

The RESNA Student Scientific Paper Competition (SSPC) is an annual contest for full-time undergraduate and graduate students to submit original research manuscripts. Winning papers receive cash prizes and are presented in a dedicated platform session at RESNA; other accepted papers are presented as posters during RehabWeek. Accepted papers are published in RESNA’s online proceedings, with abstracts or summaries included in the Assistive Technology Journal.

$1,000 in cash prizes; free RESNA student membership for finalists; presentation opportunities (platform session for winners, posters at RehabWeek); publication in RESNA online proceedings and inclusion of abstracts/summaries in the Assistive Technology Journal.

Lead author must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at the time the research was conducted; research must be substantially performed while the lead author was a student. Submission must include a Letter of Certification from a faculty member confirming the first author’s student status and role in the work. Multiple submissions allowed, but no student may receive more than one honorarium per year.

Prepare an original research manuscript; obtain a faculty Letter of Certification verifying student status and majority contribution; submit the manuscript through the online Student Scientific Paper submission portal; submissions are reviewed and scored by RESNA reviewers; accepted papers are scheduled for presentation and publication.
