UNCCD COP17 Women Delegates Negotiation Training 2026

The UNCCD secretariat is launching a second round of the Women Delegates Fund training ahead of COP17 to strengthen women’s leadership, negotiation capacities and participation in UNCCD processes. The program provides participation support for COP17, capacity-building and pre-COP briefings, along with networking opportunities for women delegates from developing country Parties.

Open to women delegates from developing country Parties eligible under the UNCCD Special Trust Fund for Participation, with priority given to Least Developed Countries (LDCs). Governments from all Regional Implementation Annexes are invited to nominate one eligible woman delegate.

Governments from all Regional Implementation Annexes must nominate qualified women by sending a letter on ministry letterhead signed by the National Focal Point to gender@unccd.int, with CV or short biography attached.
