Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Economics and Business Journalism 2025-2026

Fellows spend two semesters at Columbia Journalism School and take most of their classes at Columbia Business School, with weekly off-the-record seminars and dinners with top journalists, entrepreneurs and corporate leaders. The program accepts up to 10 fellows each year and is funded by the Knight Foundation and other foundations and organizations.

Tuition coverage, a $70,000 stipend, health insurance for one person, subsidized housing, and related academic/facility fees

Open to journalists who are passionate about business and economics and who want to improve their craft; minimum of four years of business or economics reporting, typically with a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university or equivalent.
