United States Invitational Young Physicists Tournament

The United States Invitational Young Physicists Tournament (USIYPT) is an annual international physics research and debate tournament hosted by the United States Association for Young Physicists Tournaments (USAYPT). Invited school teams prepare in-depth investigations of a common set of research problems and compete in "physics fights" where presenters are questioned by opposing teams. The competition emphasises research, presentation, scientific discussion and defendable solutions modeled on professional scientific debate.
