Student Travel Grants

The Student Travel Grants program provides travel reimbursement to students to attend industry meetings and events in the structural steel sector. Recipients receive reimbursement for direct travel costs and lodging and are connected with AISC staff and industry mentors during events. Students are expected to participate fully in related meetings and group meals and to submit a written summary after the event. Grants are offered for attendance at events including NASCC: The Steel Conference, AASHTO/NSBA Steel Bridge Collaboration, Task Committee and Committee on Specifications meetings, and Bridge Task Force meetings.

Reimbursement of travel and lodging expenses; connection with AISC staff and industry mentors; access to conference sessions, exhibition halls, and networking opportunities; requirement to submit a written summary after the event.

Open to students; recipients are expected to attend event meetings and meals and to submit a written summary following the event.
