Computer Vision for Ecology in South Africa Workshop 2027

The Computer Vision for Ecology in South Africa Workshop 2027 is a hands-on training programme that teaches ecological researchers how to apply AI and computer vision techniques to analyse large image, video and audio datasets for wildlife monitoring and conservation. The in-person workshop runs 22–26 February 2027 at AIMS South Africa in Muizenberg and is designed to strengthen participants’ capacity to apply emerging technologies to ecological research. The programme brings together ecologists and computer vision specialists to explore practical methods for processing ecological data.

Open to South African citizens and residents who do not require a visa to attend the workshop.
