Maui Ocean Center Marine Naturalist Internship

The Maui Ocean Center Marine Naturalist Internship is a hands-on, in-person internship for high school students. Interns are mentored by industry professionals across several departments and commit 7-8 hours per day for five weekdays. The program emphasizes marine and environmental science and is intended for students aged 16 or older who have reliable transportation and housing on Maui.

High school students who are at least 16 years old, have reliable transportation and housing on Maui, and are comfortable speaking with park visitors. Preference for students enrolled at a Hawaiʻi school and interested in marine or environmental science, animal husbandry, or education.

Submit a high school intern application, a one-page cover letter, a resume and one or two references.
