Prize of the Academy for Scientific Research in Veterinary Medicine

The Prize of the Academy for Scientific Research in Veterinary Medicine is a category 1 award presented by the Royal Academy of Medicine of Belgium for a scientific dissertation or a bundle of publications in veterinary research. The prize is open to an individual researcher or two collaborating researchers and is awarded as a personal monetary reward. The work may be written in Dutch, French or English and may be a thesis or a set of publications.

Monetary prize: €2,500 (personal award).

An individual researcher or two collaborating researchers may apply. Candidates must have obtained their doctoral degree by less than five years (60 months) before the application deadline; the doctoral degree need not yet have been obtained. Adjustments to the five-year period are allowed for documented full-time maternity leave, parental leave or sick leave. Candidates must not have applied for or been laureates of certain Academy prizes in specified recent periods.

Complete the provided application form and web form; submit a one-page summary, a Web of Science search result listing the 50 most cited publications, a PDF with up to 10 relevant publications (or a thesis), and where applicable official documents proving periods of full-time maternity, parental or sick leave.
