Cardiovascular Grand Challenge

The Cardiovascular Grand Challenge is a competitive research funding programme run by the British Heart Foundation to support ambitious, large-scale research programmes that aim to deliver transformative impact for patients with cardiovascular disease. The competition seeks AI-powered and data-driven proposals that integrate multiple disciplines, sectors and research approaches. BHF plans to make at least one award of up to £10 million over five years to the most compelling proposal(s).

Applications must be led by a principal investigator based at a UK research institution; teams should mobilise complementary disciplines and sectors and may include international partners who make defined contributions.
