Youth Action and Wellbeing Grants

The Youth Action and Wellbeing Grants provide one-off project funding to under-resourced, youth-led groups and grassroots campaigns with lived experience of injustice. Grants are offered in two streams: Youth Action Grants for structural-change campaigns and Wellbeing Grants to support group wellbeing and sustainability. Recipients also receive wraparound support including coaching, training and monitoring and evaluation assistance from FYA's Youth Action Team.

Project funding (specified grant amounts), coaching and training (media, digital and social media, strategy development, team culture and wellbeing, community organising, intersectionality), support for monitoring and evaluation and ongoing funding strategies, workshops and regular coaching for recipients.

Applications must be on behalf of a group, organisation or community based in Australia and led by young people under the age of 30 with lived experience of the issues they campaign on; campaign goals must focus on structural change.

Groups apply on behalf of a youth-led organisation or campaign. Shortlisted applicants are notified (shortlist around 19 September 2025) and invited to submit a detailed application and/or attend an interview. Final decisions notified by 29 October 2025 and funds released in December 2025.
