Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Award

The Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Award is a biennial prize presented by the American Society of Plant Biologists to an ASPB member who has a strong record of increasing diversity and inclusiveness in the broad area of plant biology. The award recognises significant impact in mentoring, supporting, advocating for careers of individuals from underrepresented communities, and service or outreach to those communities. The awardee is invited to give a plenary lecture at the next annual meeting and receives a cash award and a travel allowance for travel and meeting registration in the year of the plenary lecture.

Nominees must be ASPB members with a strong record of increasing diversity and inclusiveness in plant biology.
