Samuel Glasstone Award

The Samuel Glasstone Award recognizes outstanding American Nuclear Society (ANS) Student Sections. Eligible student sections submit applications describing their activities across seven categories; winners receive a certificate and a monetary award. The award is presented at the ANS Annual Conference. The prize funds (up to $2,000) are distributed among winning student sections.

All sanctioned ANS student sections, including international sections, are eligible to apply by submitting an application highlighting activities in the seven specified areas.

Student sections submit an application describing activities across seven areas and may upload supporting documents; applications are evaluated by a subcommittee and winners are selected by the Student Sections Committee and ETWDD with consultation from the national Honors and Awards Committee as appropriate.
