THD Technical Achievement Award

The THD Technical Achievement Award recognizes outstanding past or current technical achievement in the art or science of Thermal Hydraulics. It is the highest award given by the Thermal Hydraulics Division and is based on a major contribution to the state of the art, an important publication, a major technical achievement, or a sustained record of accomplishment and technical excellence. The award consists of an engraved plaque and a monetary award of $2,000 and is presented at the ANS Winter Conference or a THD-supported Topical Meeting.

The award is normally presented to a member of the Thermal Hydraulics Division, but nominees need not be THD members; any ANS member is eligible. Nominations may be submitted by THD members or others in the technical community.

Nominations submitted by THD members or others in the technical community using a completed nomination form and supporting documents (nominator letter, narrative summary, publications list if applicable, resume, and three letters of support).
