Grants of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for research by laboratories/groups of young scientists (competition 2026) for 2027–2028

A competitive grant programme of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU) to fund research by laboratories or groups of young scientists at NASU institutions for the 2027–2028 period. Projects giving priority to work that enhances Ukraine's security, defence and recovery in wartime and post-war periods are favoured. Grants are awarded for research projects with a maximum implementation term of up to two years. Proposals must be submitted by NASU research institutions and meet NASU eligibility and documentation requirements.

Awarded research grant funding for projects for up to two years (financial support subject to grant budget rules and approved cost estimate).

Research projects of teams of young scientists from NASU institutions. Project performers must hold at least a second (Master's) level degree and be aged up to 35 years as of 2027-01-01, or hold a Doctor of Sciences degree and be aged up to 40 years. Project leaders must have a PhD (candidate of sciences) or Doctor of Sciences and meet experience/publication requirements.

NASU research institutions must submit required documents to the NASU Commission for work with young scientists by 2026-11-09; form the Request in the RIT NOD NASU system and complete the Google project submission form; include institution approval extract and project questionnaire and other required attachments.
