The Absa L’Atelier Competition 2026 is an annual visual arts contest for young artists across multiple African countries. It offers prizes including mentorships, masterclasses, a residency, and opportunities for exhibitions. The competition aims to support artists in developing their careers and gaining broader recognition.

Leistungen

Prizes include a new laptop or equivalent, 11 two-hour masterclasses (virtual or in-person), a four-month mentorship, a two-month international residency in 2027, and potential opportunities for a solo exhibition with material cost support up to a specified amount.

Teilnahmevoraussetzungen

Open to artists aged between 21 and 40 on 31 March 2026, who are citizens or permanent residents of the listed African countries and permanently reside there.

Bewerbung

Entries are submitted via an online portal; applicants provide a portfolio of 4–5 artworks and complete required fields.
