World Bank Careers & Young Professionals Program

The World Bank Group Young Professionals Program (YPP) is a competitive two-year initiative that launches careers in global development, placing successful candidates into IBRD, IFC, or MIGA on a mid-career contract, with potential renewal for up to five years based on performance. The program includes structured mentorship, leadership development, and access to the YP Academy for professional growth. Applicants must select a work program aligned with their skills and experience, and undergo a multi-stage assessment process.

Citizenship of a World Bank member country; a master's degree (or higher) completed before September 1, 2026; 2 to 6 years of relevant professional experience after undergraduate studies; fluent in English; not a current World Bank staff member or ineligible under employment policies; if previously an intern, appointment must end by September 30, 2025.

Submit CV/Resume, passport, transcript or enrollment letter, a 250-word statement, and two 400-word personal statements; undergo HR and technical assessments, a video interview, panel interview, and possible case assessments.
