South Africa NFVF International Bursary for Film & TV Postgraduate Studies 2026

The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) invites South African citizens and permanent residents to apply for an international bursary for postgraduate studies in film and television abroad for the 2026 academic year. The bursary supports full-time postgraduate studies at overseas institutions in fields not offered in South Africa and covers tuition and living expenses up to a capped amount. Live performance and acting courses do not qualify for this funding.

Tuition fees up to the cap and living expenses included; opportunity to study at top international institutions.

Applicants must be South African citizens or permanent residents applying for full-time postgraduate film or television studies overseas, in a course not available in South Africa.

Register and complete the online application form via the NFVF Grant Management System and submit all required documents by the deadline.
