EDGE Fellowship 2026

The EDGE Fellowship 2026 is a 28-month fellowship for early-career conservationists to implement a two-year project focused on an EDGE species. Fellows receive funding, training, and mentorship to develop conservation leadership and deliver their project, with a global call and priority regions specified. The program includes in-person training, a grant for project implementation, and ongoing mentorship and coaching opportunities.

Six weeks of in-person training (four-week Conservation Tools Course and two-week Conservation Impact Course in the UK), a grant of at least £10,000 for project implementation, continuous mentorship, and access to training and coaching opportunities with ZSL and partners.

You may be eligible if your work focuses on an EDGE species, you are an early-career conservationist with less than ten years of paid experience, and you are a national of the country where the focal EDGE species occurs.

Stage One: Expression of Interest – online form submission by 23:59 21 July 2025. Stage Two: Full Application – shortlisted candidates invited to submit full proposal and supporting documents.
