West African Scholar Mobility Fellowship 2025

The West African Scholar Mobility Fellowship (WASMF) Program 2025 provides a research funding opportunity for young West African graduate students to conduct 2 to 3 months of research in West Africa during the summer, to prepare a doctoral proposal or conduct doctoral research. The program includes a grant to support travel and research activities related to the project.

Travel grant of $4,000 for West Africa research in support of doctoral-related work.

Open to West African citizens who are currently enrolled in graduate programs at institutions of higher education in the United States. West African citizens with U.S. citizenship are not eligible.

Submit abstract (50-80 words), full proposal (6 pages, double-spaced), resume or CV, itemized budget, graduate transcripts, bibliography, two letters of reference, and a statement on how the research supports WASMF's mission.
