The Florida Power & Light Company Robotics Scholarship Program

A scholarship program funded by the NextEra Energy Foundation offering robotics and drones-related awards to graduating high school seniors in counties served by Florida Power & Light Company to pursue STEM or vocational post-secondary study. The program includes two $20,000 robotics awards (paid $5,000 annually, renewable up to four years) and one $5,000 Drones in School award (one-time). Graduating high school seniors attending a high school located in one of the counties served by Florida Power & Light Company who meet program-specific participation and academic requirements (e.g., robotics applicants must have participated in FIRST, BEST or VEX for a minimum of two years and completed within the last two years; Drones in School applicants must have participated in the Drones in Schools program for a minimum of two years).

Apply online and submit required uploads (transcript, photos, essay, test scores if applicable); one online recommendation must be submitted no later than three business days after the application deadline; all materials must be submitted electronically.
