Über diese Chance
A nine-week Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) summer program at the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences, Oregon State University, offering undergraduate research projects in geology, oceanography, atmospheric and climate science. Participants work with university scientist mentors, join seminars, group field trips and a summer research symposium, and may take part in sea-going research cruises. The program runs from June 15 to August 14, 2026 and includes on-campus activities at Corvallis and Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport. The REU is funded by the National Science Foundation.
Leistungen & Finanzierung
Paid round-trip travel to Oregon, on-campus housing for the duration, weekly stipend ($600/week), support to present at national scientific meetings, mentorship, field and lab experience including possible sea-going cruises.
Teilnahmevoraussetzungen
Students pursuing an undergraduate degree at a two- or four-year college who are not graduating seniors are eligible to apply; applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. The program welcomes first-generation, transfer, community college and non-traditional students and does not require prior research experience.
